Adding items
To start entering a description of an item, log in and then select the yellow ADD PUBLICATION button in the upper right corner under the login bar.
Then follow the interface prompts, i.e. select the collection to which the record is to be assigned (details described in the collections tab).
Then go to the generated bibliographic description of the document (details described in the bibliographic description fields tab). Individual sections of the form expand automatically after completing subsequent data.
First, you need to define the type and subtype of the document being described (details are described in the documents type tab).
You need to fill in as many fields as possible with data from the publisher in the following sections of the drop-down form: Description, Publishing Series, Abstract and Keywords.
When completing authors, it can be useful to use the function of moving a particular line to the selected position. When you need to change the order of the entered authors, move the cursor from the left to the area outside the frame for the entered data. 6 dots will then be displayed, click the mouse button and drag the line to the appropriate position. This function is available for fields where more data can be added, e.g. Title Variant, Author, Place of Publication, etc.
If the publication is a conference publication, we also complete the Conference information section (available only if the appropriate subtype is selected).
In the section described License, you need to select the appropriate type of license under which the original publication was issued. If there is no license and the publication is open access, you should select “No open access license”.
If the publication was created as part of an ongoing project, etc., the necessary information should be placed in the Details section.
In the next step (Affiliation), you provide the data necessary for generating reports and linking information in RUJ with the system of parameterization of units. It is necessary to indicate the corresponding “Discipline” and “Main Unit”, for example: Department, selected from the drop-down list. If a Doctoral Student of the Doctoral School has links with more than one unit, you can select an "Additional Unit". (“Identity” is automatically completed after the author from the Jagiellonian University is completed at an earlier stage of the form).
The final part of the form contains sections: License of the file (selecting the license for the file to be uploaded) and Upload files of the full text of the publication being described (details described in the uploading files tab). Here you can drop files, and you can also add them using the top pinned bar above the Collection selection.
Any time you enter a description, you can save the data using Save. The Save and Return button is used to save the publication description to your own account. It does not allow you to upload the publication description to the Repository, only to preview and edit the data.
After entering the data, confirm it with the green Deposit button.
