The organised crime group as social group : the legal and sociological approach

The article is an attempt to make a comparison or even a combination of two sciences: jurisprudence and sociology. In the article, definitions of the organized crime group, which have appeared in the sciences heretofore have been evaluated. Previous attempts at formulating a universal definition of the organized crime group had failed to reach a settlement. Thus, in order to build a correct definition I propose to invoke the science of sociology. In the further part of the article questions are pose whether an organized crime group could be called 'a social group' and whether a group on the ground of jurisprudence is explained in the same way as in the sociological one. The definition of an organized crime group presented on the ground of jurisprudence has been analysed, exposing the main characteristics features of the group in sociology. This is the first piece of work, which concentrates entirely the same conception in comparison with each other, but on the ground of different sciences.
