This paper will present an argument in support of the Extended Mind Hypothesis (EMH). The argument consists of two sub-arguments, an evolutionary and a systematic one. The evolutionary sub-argument advances that there is good empirical and analytic reason to suppose that the mind is designed by natural selection to extend. The systematic states that EMH is more consistent with the current system of science and scientific taxonomy. In force of the connection between these sub-arguments, I will conclude that EMH is epistemically advantageous compared to purely internalist accounts of cognition. Furthermore, this essay situates EMH in a broader landscape of philosophical and scientific ideas and theories about the mind.pl
