ABSTRACTHydronephrosis is the most frequent of the hereditary defects of the urinary system in children. The aim of this paper is to show the medical issues, which may occur for children with the hydronephrosis defect, and the procedures which should be taken by the medical personnel during the treatment.The paper contains the description of the anatomy of the urinary system and the characteristics of the hydronephrosis defect.This document also contains the information about the children’s psychophysical development, and details about the nursing care which should be provided before and after the surgery.

STRESZCZENIEWodonercze jest najczęstszą wadą wrodzoną układu moczowego u dzieci. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie problemów psycho-pielęgnacyjnych, które występują u dzieci operowanych z powodu wodonercza oraz postępowanie pielęgnacyjne pozwalające na ich rozwiązanie.W niniejszej pracy opisano anatomię układu moczowego oraz charakterystykę wodonercza. Przedstawiono również rozwój psychiczny i fizyczny dziecka od okresu prenatalnego do wieku przedszkolnego oraz opiekę pielęgniarską nad dzieckiem, zarówno przed zabiegiem jak i po zabiegu.
