The European Union as the anti-value : the European narratives in the communication of the Polish extreme right

Sprzeciw wobec Unii Europejskiej oraz promowanej przez nią wizji Europy jest jednym z fundamentalnych filarów ideologicznych całej europejskiej skrajnej prawicy. Nie oznacza to bynajmniej, iż radykalnie prawicowe partie i organizacje odrzucają ideę współpracy na poziomie międzynarodowym. Europejskie organizacje skrajnej prawicy aktywnie ze sobą kooperują, a w konsekwencji dokonywany jest multilateralny transfer idei, programów i wizji, na bazie których wytwarzane są specyficzne dla tychże środowisk ideologiczne propozycje i rozwiązania. Głównym celem artykułu jest rekonstrukcja obrazu Europy i Unii Europejskiej w komunikacji polskiej skrajnej prawicy. Opierając się na tekstach pochodzących z wydawanych w nieoficjalnym obiegu zinów z lat 90. XX wieku oraz materiałach dostępnych na stronach internetowych polskich środowisk skrajnej prawicy (pochodzących z okresu 2000-2010) przedstawiono, z wykorzystaniem metod i technik językoznawstwa korpusowego, jaki obraz Europy i UE dominuje w komunikacji radykalnej prawicy, a także jakie są nacjonalistyczne alternatywy dla idei Zjednoczonej Europy. Autor korzysta z metod i technik charakterystycznych dla językoznawstwa korpusowego i bazuje na konstruktywistycznych teoriach komunikacji oraz koncepcji językowego obrazu świata.

Rejection of the idea of the United Europe promoted by the European Union is the most common ideological pillar of the entire European extreme right movements. It does not mean, however, that these movements reject the pan-European cooperation since the extreme right groups are highly connected and cooperate on various international levels. In consequence, through the multilateral transfers of ideas, political programs, visions, and attitudes they create specific ideological offers and solutions. The main aim of this article is to reconstruct the image of the Europe and the European Union in the communication of the Polish extreme right. On the basis of the publications excerpted from the unofficially printed zines from 1990. and selected online publications published on the Polish extreme right websites within the period 2000-2010 the author tries to discover what kind of image of Europe and the EU predominates in communication of the extreme right, and what kind of alternatives for the idea of the United Europe have been promoted by the nationalist movements. The author uses methods and techniques of the corpus linguistics and refers to the constructivist theories of communication and the concept of the linguistic image of the world.
