Contact with a Landscape as an Area of Cultural Education

Jednym z ważnych współcześnie elementów edukacji kulturowej jest kontakt z krajobrazem. Termin "krajobraz" istnieje od dawna, początkowo w naukach przyrodniczych a następnie w geografii rosyjskiej i francuskiej. Filozoficzne konteksty krajobrazu sięgają zaś czasów Petrarki, św. Augustyna, Bernarda z Clairvaux, G. Simmela, który podkreślał indywidualność krajobrazu. W artykule pojawiają się liczne odwołania do krajobrazów i ogrodów kultury Wschodu, gdzie pozycja krajobrazu jest bardzo ważna i spełnia wiele funkcji (kontemplacja, odpoczynek, inicjacja procesu nauki, stymulacja uczuć, zapomnienie, zwolnienie umysłu kontemplującego od rzeczy i spraw, kontakt z krajobrazem daje spokój ducha i radość, odnawia, cieszy, itd. ). Artykuł kończą edukacyjne konteksty kontaktu z krajobrazem na przykładzie Polski.

A contact with a landscape is one of the most important contemporary element of a cultural education. A term "landscape" has been existing for a long time, primarly in natural sciences and next in a Russian and a French Geography. Philosophical contexts of a landscape come back till the Petrarca times, Saint. Augustine, Bernard from Clairvaux, G. Simmel, who accentuaed the individuality of a landscape. In a paper there are numerous references to the landscapes and gardens of the culture of the East where the position of a landscape is very important and fulfills many functions (contemplation, rest, initiation of a proces of acquiring knowledge, stimulation of emotions, forgetting, release of the contemplative mind from things and affairs, refreshness, fun, etc.). The paper ends with educational contexts of a contact with a landscape on the Poland’s example.
