Abstract in English
The aim of the paper is to present legal regulations governing the supervisory board functioning in co-operatives in Germany. Firstly, it discusses the procedure of electing members of the this body; then the author analyses its competences. The next section of the paper deals with the mode of holding sessions and taking resolutions by the supervisory board and preparing documentation of its activities. The paper concludes with a summary of the analysed material.
