Most of the ponder upon the human issues are the refl ections of the the fundamental question: "Who is the man?". The personalists, one of whom is undeniably Fr. W. Garnat, go further in asking: "Who is a man as a person?". The completion of this question with the person refers to the philosophical anthropology and its most important categories, which are: person, personality and personalism. Other social sciences, among them pedagogy, also relate to the man as a person issue and present article is meant to be an attempt of consideration over this concept from the educationalist’s perspective. One of the main pedagogical categories is a subject of education that is a child, a man, a human being. Thus, understanding of the deeper meaning of the Fr. Granat’s concept seems to be helpful and worth making an effort, especially for the pedagogy and for all involved in the process of education.
