Social media : modern agora or anarchy?

In times of crisis of confidence in politicians, governments, democracy and the mass media, many researchers place their hopes in the opportunities offered by the Internet and primarily social media in creating a space for public debate and increasing social participation. We are currently experiencing both positive and negative consequences of sharing information by the global network. This article, referring to concrete examples of political communication in social media, reflects on the opportunities and threats to be met in order to build a true "network agora", thereby avoiding "network anarchy".
