The author contrasts a rigorous definition of a lesson - as a purposeful, close- ended, well-constructed unity - with an open definition which describes a lesson as a theatrical
event, going away from its original design, dependent on
the participants. The teacher becomes the director of the show and the pupils its performers. Staging, drama, literary judgment, brainstorming, mind mapping, decision trees, snow balls and other unorthodox ways of action used as forms of
expression during a lesson are documented in the paper.
