Treścią niniejszego artykułu jest pokazanie przykładów aktywności w ramach zarządzania publicznego, mogących przyczynić się do podniesienia poziomu życia mieszkańców przez ułatwiony dostęp do informacji i pomoc w rozwoju umiejętności, które są niezbędne do korzystania z technologii informacyjnej. Zaprezentowana refleksja oparta jest na przykładach działań podejmowanych przez Urząd Miasta Częstochowy.

The process of development of information society – based on the experience of the City of Czestochowa. One of the processes of development, which have a real impact public authorities, is the development of the information society. The content of this article is to show examples of activities in the public management that can contribute to raising the standard of living through improved access to information and assistance in the development of skills that are essential to the use of information technology. Presented reflection is based on examples of actions taken by the City of Czestochowa.
