Using the Internet nowadays is a daily activity for many children. On average 92% of young Internet users goes online at least once a week and 57% log in almost every day (Kirwil, 2010). In Poland kids as young as four years of age start using the Internet (Gemius 2008a). A study considering Internet use was performed as a part of social campaign on online safety "WWW - Wiem, widzę i wybieram". Study consisted of two parts. At the fi rst stage data were acquired from parents of kids aged 4-15. At the second stage data was acquired from kids in primary school (5th class) and from kids in gymnasium (1st and 3rd class). The results comply with other findings described in the literature. However in some cases data points to more frequent occurrence of negative and unwanted experiences. Th erefore monitoring of exposure to negative online experiences of young persons is required.
