On some aspects of Tadeusz Kantor's Panoramic Sea Happening

"Panoramiczny Happening Morski" Tadeusza Kantora był jednym z najważniejszych i najgłośniejszych wydarzeń artystycznych w Polsce pod koniec lat 60-tych. W artykule omawiam udział w tym happeningu Marii Pinińskiej-Bereś. Do tej pory, poza relacją samej artystki, nie były znane obiektywne świadectwa tego udziału. Został on przemilczany przez Kantora i w konsekwencji wymazany ze zbiorowej pamięci. Artykuł ostatecznie rozstrzyga problem udziału Marii Pinińskiej-Bereś w happeningu Kantora. Staram się zrekonstruować atmosferę towarzyszącą temu wydarzeniu oraz motywy, którymi kierował się Kantor.

Tadeusz Kantor's "Panoramic Sea Happening" was one of the most important and most talked artistic events in Poland in the late 60's. In this article I discuss participation of Maria Pinińska-Bereś in this happening. So far, outside the relation of the artist, objective evidences of it were not known. Her participation has been effectively silenced by Kantor and consequently erased from the collective memory. The article finally resolve the issue of the participation of Maria Pinińska-Bereś on Kantor's happening. I try to reconstruct the atmosphere of the event and motives of Kantor.
