Bibliophily in the culture of information society in the 21st century

The author describes various aspects of bibliophilic activities in the information society of the 21st century. New information and communication technologies can be advantageous to the extension of bibliophily. As an example, one can note the emergence of electronic book as an object of collecting, in particular by young people. The idea of book collecting should be propagated and broadened to adopt it to the current interests of the youth. New forms of network communication san be helpful in shaping reading and collecting preferences opening a new possibility of electronic book collecting.
