W szkicu Uroczystość istnienia podjęta zostaje próba rozpoznania najważniejszych tematów i stylów poetyckich w wierszach Miry Kuś. Tytułowe sformułowanie obejmuje kwestie postrzegania i przeżywania natury, jak też zagadnienia opisu codziennych czynności i zdarzeń podnoszonych do rangi rytuału. Kontemplując przemiany pór roku, komponując szkice krajobrazowe, starając się określić miejsce człowieka wśród przyrodniczych bytów, poetka posługuje się słowem uroczystym, przywołuje obrazowanie wzięte z chrześcijańskiej liturgii, poprzez odwołania do autobiografii tworzy obszary prywatnego raju, utrwala chwile epifanicznego zachwytu, dokonuje restytucji świata dziecinnego i wrażliwości nastawionej na ciągłe metamorfozy fenomenów natury. Istotna w lirykach Miry Kuś jest dysproporcja między trwaniem natury a czasem ludzkiego życia. Pozycję „wygnańca” ze świata natury wyznaczają tutaj doświadczenia bólu, cierpienia i śmierci - wyróżniające ludzką egzystencję. Odrębną uwagę poetka poświęca słowu artystycznemu, które źle przystaje do napotykanych rzeczy, albo zbyt łatwo nazywa to, co zaledwie przeczuwane. Według Miry Kuś słowo nie potrafi w pełni współbrzmieć z rytmem natury. Poetka operuje szeroką skalą stylów - od lapidarności wyrazu po retoryczną zdobność, od przejmującego tonu serio po ironię, groteskę i humor liryczny. Mira Kuś, przeciwstawiając się estetyce hałasu i atrofii doznań emocjonalnych, proponuje swoim odbiorcom delikatność wyrazu poetyckiego i czułość pojmowaną jako wzór relacji ze światem.

In the essay Uroczystość istnienia (Celebrations of existence), an attempt is made to recognize the most important poetic themes and styles in the poems by Mira Kuś. The eponymous expression comprises the issues of perceiving and experiencing the nature, as well as the matters concerning the description of everyday activities and events raised to the rank of rituals. By contemplating the changes of seasons, composing the landscape essays, attempting to define the place of a human among natural beings, the poet employs a solemn word, evokes the imaging taken from the Christian liturgy; by appealing to the autobiography, she creates the areas of a private paradise, preserves the moments of epiphanic rapture, performs the restitution of the childlike world and sensitivity disposed towards a constant metamorphosis of the nature phenomena. The disproportion between the nature’s lasting and the time of a human life is crucial in the lyrics by Mira Kuś. The position of “ the exile” from the world of nature are here determined by experiences of pain, suffering and death - distinguishing the human existence. The poet pays separate attention to the artistic word that badly accedes to the items encountered, or names things that are barely sensed too easily. According to Mira Kuś, a word cannot fully harmonize with the nature’s rhythm. The poet operates with a wide scale of styles - from conciseness of expression to rhetoric decorativeness, from a moving, serious tone to irony, grotesque and lyrical humour. Mira Kuś, opposing the aesthetics of noise and atrophy of emotional sensations, proposes to their recipients the subtlety of poetic expression and sensitivity of comprehension as a pattern of relations with the world.
