Polish textbooks for mathematics
A group of 340 students from three Polish universities in the years 2016-2017 expressed their opinion on mathematics textbooks that they used during their studies in high school and middle school. Based on the collected opinions, the authors have attempted to assess which features of modern textbooks for mathematics make them positively received by students. The authors state that most students can not identify the maths textbook they used a few years earlier. The authors also state that the traditional textbook for mathematics in paper form is not currently the basic source of mathematical knowledge for many Polish secondary school students.
