This article attempts to critically analyze The Executed Renaissance anthology edited by Iurii Lavrinenko, and its impact on the formation of the post-war historical and literary discourse of the 1920s in the Ukrainian Humanities. The aim of this paper is to critically review the most important topics of the anthology, which are the consequences of traumatic experiences of Stalin’s purges and war. In this perspective The Executed Renaissance is the result of trauma, interpreted in the context of psychoanalysis (J. Lacan, S. Žižek) and of the research on trauma (C. Caruth).
