Educational attitudes and social competences and hope for success of adolescent children

article
The aim of this article is to present the results of the research that was carried out in order to answer the question whether there are correlations, and if so what, between parental educational attitudes and the social competences level and hope for success of their adolescent children. A total of 268 people, parents and their children have been tested using Parental Attitudes Scale, Social Competences Questionnaire and Hope for Success Questionnaire. The discussed results indicate that positive parental attitudes (mother’s and father’s acceptance) determinate a high level of social competences. In the case of hope for success the correlations are not so obvious - the conclusion cannot be drawn that only positive parental attitudes determine a high hope for success level in their children and that negative parental attitudes determine a low one.pl
