Biographical determinants of scientific, didactic and social activities of Anna Przecławska (1929-2010)

W artykule przedstawiono koleje życia profesor Anny Przecławskiej, ukazując, jak wpływały one na jej pracę naukową, dydaktyczną, zaangażowanie społeczne i stosunek do drugiego człowieka. Nawiązano zatem do okresu szczęśliwego dzieciństwa przerwanego wybuchem II wojny światowej, działalności harcerskiej i konspiracyjnej, w tym do służby w charakterze sanitariuszki w Powstaniu Warszawskim. Te wydarzenia spowodowały, że w całym życiu profesor Przecławska podejmowała zadania wykraczające daleko poza wymogi codzienności. Nakierowały także jej badania na tematy związane z rolą czytelnictwa w życiu młodzieży, światem wartości młodych i przeobrażeniami kultury w kontekście problemów wychowania. Anna Przecławska zaznaczała też potrzebę reinterpretacji pojęcia środowiska wychowawczego w pedagogice społecznej oraz ważność służby człowiekowi, którą uznawała za zasadę stałą w pedagogice i w swoim życiu, zmieniając świat zgodnie z kompetencjami, jakie posiadała.

The article presents the vicissitudes of Professor Anna Przecławska’s life, showing how they influenced her scientific and didactic work, social commitment and attitude towards other people. Thus, reference was made to the period of happy childhood interrupted by the outbreak of World War II, scouting and underground activities, including service as a nurse in the Warsaw Uprising. These events meant that throughout her life she undertook tasks that went far beyond the requirements of everyday life. They also directed her research on topics related to the role of reading in the lives of young people, the world of young people’s values and transformations of culture in the context of upbringing problems. A. Przecławska also emphasized the need to reinterpret the concept of the educational environment in social pedagogy and the importance of serving people, which she considered a constant principle in pedagogy and in her life, changing the world in accordance with the competences she possessed.
