Animation of Christian culture by the scouting method in rev. Franciszek Blachnicki's Light-Life Movement

Ks. F. Blachnicki (ur. 1921 w Rybniku, zm. 1987 w Carlsbergu), założyciel Ruchu Światło - Życie w Kościele Katolickim, był przed II wojną harcerzem w Tarnowskich Górach na polskim Górnym Śląsku, skąd wyniósł znajomość metod skautingu. Metody wychowania skautowego (harcerskiego) przeniósł po II wojnie do młodzieżowych wspólnot kościelnych, zwanych "oazami", które sam stworzył. Metoda przeżyciowa rekolekcji zamkniętych, struktura i funkcje ruchu oazowego wzorowane są częściowo na metodzie przeżycia (przygody) w skautingu, strukturze, funkcjach, hierarchii zdobywanych stopni w skautingu. W artykule postawiono hipotezę o wpływie koncepcji twórcy skautingu - generała Roberta Stephensona Smytha Baden Powella z Gilwell oraz koncepcji Aleksandra Kamińskiego na koncepcję środków (metod) wychowawczych ks. Franciszka Blachnickiego w Ruchu Światło-Życie (ruchu oazowym). Animacja kultury chrześcijańskiej metodami skautingu jest tematem wartym źródłowego, systematycznego przebadania przez historyczną pedagogikę porównawczą. Do artykułu dołączono wybraną bibliografię przedmiotową.

Rev. F. Blachnicki (born 1921 in Rybnik, died 1987 in Carlsberg), the founder of the Light-Life Movement in the Catholic Church, was, before World War II, a scout in Tarnowskie Góry in the Polish Upper Silesia and that is wher he learnt the scouting methods. After the war he transferred the scouting education methods to the organised by him Church youth communities called the "oases". The Formula of retreat for young people, the structure and functions of the oasis movementare partly modelled on the method of adventure in scouting, the structure, function and hierarchy of ranks achieved in scouting. The article sets the hipothesis of the influence of the concept represented by the scouting founder - gen. Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden Powell of Gilwell and the concept of Aleksander Kamiński, on the concept of educational means (methods) applied by Rev. Franciszek Blachnicki in the Light - Life Movement (The Oasis Movement). Animation of Christian culture through the scouting methods is the problem deserving a thorough research by the historical comparative pedagogy.
