W niniejszej pracy przedstawione zostały główne obszary współpracy polsko-ukraińskiej,zwłaszcza w dziedzinie obronności. Omówiono także bariery dla rozwoju współpracy regionalnej iprzedstawiono analizę rozwoju współpracy wojskowej oraz relacji politycznych, z podkreśleniemwspółpracy w ramach głównych inicjatyw międzynarodowych.Badanie, przeprowadzone w tej pracy, stanowi ważny wkład w zrozumienie istoty współpracywojskowej pomiędzy Polską a Ukrainą w ramach „Trójkąta Lubelskiego” (z uwzględnieniemdziałalności wspólnej jednostki wojskowej Litewsko-Polsko-Ukraińskiej Brygady im. HetmanaWielkiego Konstantego Ostrogskiego). Ważnym jest też w tej pracy ujawnienie w podstawowymrozumieniu przesłanek i genezy powstania Unii Lubelskiej, ich roli w tworzeniu „TrójkątaLubelskiego” oraz określenia potencjału militarnego tego nowego formatu współpracyregionalnej w dziedzinie obronności w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej w systemiemiędzynarodowego układu geopolitycznego, ocena jej najważniejszych elementów, a także próbyprognozy rozwoju wskazanej współpracy w najbliższej perspektywie.W procesie napisania pracy odnośnie polsko-ukraińskiej współpracy wojskowejwykorzystano materiały źródłowe w języku ukraińskim i polskim oraz dane z badań statystycznychdo oceny skuteczności wykorzystania narzędzi międzynarodowej współpracy wojskowej w ramach„Trójkąta Lubelskiego”. Analizie i ocenie naukowej poddano treści oficjalnych dokumentówministerstw obrony Polski i Ukrainy w latach 1991-2023. Jako źródła informacji zostaływykorzystane opracowania naukowe poświęcone powyższej problematyce, w tym między innymimonografie oraz artykuły współpracy wojskowej, wskazano praktykę realizacji tej wspólnejdziałalności militarnej między Polską a Ukrainą.Praca składa się z 3 rozdziałów: 2 rozdziałów teoretycznych, 1 rozdziału metodologiczno-badawczego. Rozdział 1 opisuje główne kierunki, podstawy formalnoprawne polsko-ukraińskiejwspółpracy wojskowej. Rozdział 2 bada historię, cele inicjatywy, instytucjonalny wymiar i obszarywspółpracy militarnej pomiędzy Rzeczpospolitą Polską, Republiką Litewską i Ukrainą w ramachTrójkąta Lubelskiego. Oprócz tego w tym rozdziale autor analizuje działania wspólnej jednostkiwojskowej Litewsko-Polsko-Ukraińskiej Brygady im. Hetmana Wielkiego KonstantegoOstrogskiego jako przykład udanej współpracy regionalnej w zakresie obronności i bezpieczeństwa.Rozdział 3 przedstawia wpływ działalności wielonarodowej Brygady LITPOLUKRBRIG naperspektywy polsko-ukraińskiej współpracy międzyregionalnej w dziedzinie obronności, orazokreśla możliwości kontynuacji rozwoju współpracy bilateralnej w zakresie bezpieczeństwa obupaństw.

This thesis presents the main areas of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation, especially in the field ofdefence. Barriers to the development of regional cooperation were also discussed and an analysis ofthe development of military cooperation and political relations was presented, with emphasis oncooperation within the framework of major international initiatives.The study conducted in this work is an important contribution to understanding the essence ofmilitary cooperation between Poland and Ukraine within the „Lublin Triangle” (including theactivities of the joint military unit of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade named after Hetmanthe Great Konstanty Ostrogski). It is also important in this work to reveal in the basic sense thepremises and genesis of the creation of the Union of Lublin, their role in creating the „Lublin Triangle” band to determine the military potential of this new format of regional defense cooperationin Central and Eastern Europe in the system of the international geopolitical system, assessment ofits the most important elements, as well as an attempt to forecast the development of the indicatedcooperation in the near future.In the process of writing the work on Polish-Ukrainian military cooperation, source materialsin Ukrainian and Polish were used as well as data from statistical surveys to assess the effectivenessof the use of tools for international military cooperation within the ”Lublin Triangle”. The contentsof official documents of the Polish and Ukrainian ministries of defense in the years 1991-2023 wereanalyzed and scientifically evaluated. Scientific studies devoted to the above issues, includingmonographs and articles of military cooperation, were used as sources of information, and thepractice of implementing this joint military activity between Poland and Ukraine was indicated.The work consists of 3 chapters: 2 theoretical chapters, 1 methodological and researchchapter. Chapter 1 describes the main directions, formal and legal basis of Polish-Ukrainian militarycooperation. Chapter 2 explores the history, goals of the initiative, institutional dimension and areasof military cooperation between the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Lithuania and Ukrainewithin the Lublin Triangle. In addition, in this chapter the author analyzes the activities of the jointmilitary unit of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade named after Hetman Konstanty Ostrogskias an example of successful regional cooperation in the field of defense and security. Chapter 3presents the impact of the activities of the multinational LITPOLUKRBRIG Brigade on theprospects of Polish-Ukrainian interregional cooperation in the field of defense, and defines thepossibilities of continuing the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of security of both countries.
