Celem pracy jest przeanalizowanie metafory teatralnej w twórczości Norwida ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem dramatu Aktor. Poruszenie tej problematyki umotywowane jest silną obecnością metaforyki zaczerpniętej z terminologii teatralnej w pismach Norwida. Punktem wyjścia jest stosunek Norwida do teatru historycznego i współczesnego oraz do rzemiosła aktorskiego. Analiza wykazała, że Norwid w swoim światopoglądzie etycznym i estetycznym kluczowe znaczenie przypisywał kategoriom dramatycznym oraz wykształcił oryginalną koncepcję toposu theatrum mundi.
The aim of the paper is to analyze the theatrical metaphor in Norwid's works, with particular emphasis on the drama ,,The Actor". Raising this issue is motivated by the strong presence of metaphors taken from theatrical terminology in Norwid's writings. The starting point is Norwid's attitude to historical and contemporary theater as well as to acting. The analysis showed that in his ethical and aesthetic worldview, Norwid attributed vital importance to dramatic categories and developed an original concept of the theatrum mundi topos.
