Ludwik Kruszelnicki, the voice crying in the Australian bush – columns of 1948–1980.

Praca jest projektem edycji krytycznej wyboru felietonów Ludwika Kruszelnickiego, autora, którego dzieła publicystyczne nie doczekały się wydania krytycznego ani popularnego. Merytorycznym celem pracy było poznanie dziennikarstwa emigracyjnego od strony historycznej i edytorskiej. Zebrano materiały z „Wiadomości” wydawanych w latach 1948–1980 i poddano je analizie gatunkowej, na skutek której wydzielono 68 artykułów; z tej grupy dokonano wyboru 35 reprezentatywnych felietonów zawierających wszystkie działy tematyczne poruszane przez autora. Dla wprowadzenia czytelników w kontekst biograficzny i historyczny pracę opatrzono wstępem. Opracowano także objaśnienia do felietonów, dotyczące przede wszystkim warstwy historycznej, ale także językowej, zarówno na płaszczyźnie polszczyzny jak i języków obcych. W felietonach uwspółcześniono grafię (zrezygnowano z gazetowych kolumn, ujednolicono sposób wyróżniania), interpunkcję (zgodnie z współczesnymi zasadami), oraz dokonano korekty błędów druku.

The work is a project of a critical edition of a selection of columns by Ludwik Kruszelnicki, an author whose journalistic works have not been published critically or popularly. The substantive aim of the work was to get to know emigration journalism from the historical and editorial side. Materials from "Wiadomości" published in the years 1948–1980 were collected and subjected to genre analysis, as a result of which 68 articles were selected; from this group, 35 representative columns were selected, which contain all thematic sections addressed by the author. In order to introduce the readers to the biographical and historical context, the work is provided with an introduction. Explanations to the columns were also prepared, concerning primarily the historical layer, but also linguistic, both on the level of Polish and foreign languages. The columns' graphics were modernized (newspaper columns were abandoned, the way of highlighting was unified), punctuation (according to modern rules), and typographical errors were corrected.
