Influence of Pleistocene glaciations on present relief of High Tatra Mountains by example Białka Valley

Praca poświęcona została określeniu wpływu plejstoceńskich zlodowaceń na współczesną rzeźbę Tatr Wysokich na przykładzie Doliny Białki. Metodami badawczymi były obserwacja własna i dokumentacja fotograficzna form i osadów polodowcowych w omawianym obszarze, analiza literatury poświęconej historii zlodowaceń tatrzańskich, a także powołanie się na zdjęcia satelitarne dostępne w Google Earth. Praca zawiera opis wybranych form i osadów polodowcowych w omawianym systemie dolinnym wraz z ich fotografiami, a także skrócony opis środowiska przyrodniczego Tatr Wysokich oraz historii zlodowaceń omawianych gór.

The thesis was devoted to determining the influence of the Pleistocene glaciations on the present relief of High Tatra Mountains on the example of Białka Valley. The research methods were self-observation and photographic documentation of post-glacial forms and sediments in the discussed area, analysis of literature on the history of the Tatra Mountains glaciations and reference to satellite images available in Google Earth. The work contains a description of selected post-glacial forms and sediments in the discussed valley system together with their photographs, a short description of the natural environment of the High Tatra Mountains and the history of glaciation of the mountains in question.
