A Mind Ready for a Crime. The Psychology of Murder Based on the Characters of Rodion Raskolnikow and Dorian Gray.

W swojej pracy na podstawie losów Raskolnikowa oraz Graya poruszam problematykę skrajnych myśli, zachowań, czynów zbrodniarza. Analizuje także jego okres przygotowawczy do zbrodni oraz czas, który przeżywa po jej dokonaniu, odwołując się przy tym do badań Joela Norrisa. W pracy zastanawiam się również nad konstruktem ofiar Doriana oraz Raskolnikowa, opisując relacje i związki jakie między nimi zachodzą, a tym samym ukazuję związek między relacją morderca-ofiara a motywem zbrodni. Zwracam także uwagę na kontekst filozoficzny, który charakteryzuje bohaterów, rozpatrując ich działania z punktu widzenia schorzeń takich jak; depresja-Raskolnikow oraz narcystyczne zaburzenia osobowości- Gray. W konsekwencji przedstawiam umysł mordercy, jako zawiłą konstrukcję skrajnych uczuć, które prowadzą do tworzenia urojonych imaginacji na temat otoczenia oraz świata

In my work, based on the fate of Raskolnikov and Gray, I raise the issue of extreme thoughts, behavior and deeds of a criminal. He also analyzes his period of preparation for the crime and the time he experiences after committing it, referring to the research of Joel Norris. In the work, I also consider the construct of Dorian and Raskolnikov's victims, describing the relationships and relationships between them, and thus showing the relationship between the murderer-victim relationship and the motive of the crime. I also pay attention to the philosophical context that characterizes the characters, considering their actions from the point of view of diseases such as; depression-Raskolnikov and narcissistic personality disorder-Gray. Consequently, I present the killer's mind as an intricate construction of extreme feelings that lead to the creation of delusional imaginations about the environment and the world.​
