Niniejsza praca ma na celu ukazanie nawiązań do shintoizmu w wybranych filmach Studia Ghibli, a także ich wyjaśnienie i przybliżenie ich źródeł. Pierwsza część pracy poświęcona jest genezie i kluczowym pojęciom shintoizmu, pojawiają się także najważniejsze elementy mitologii japońskiej. Część kolejna dotyczy założycieli i twórczości Studia Ghibli. Największą część pracy stanowi analiza wybranych animacji Studia Ghibli – Mojego sąsiada Totoro, Spirited Away: W krainie bogów oraz Księżniczki Mononoke w odniesieniu do omówionych elementów shintoistycznych.
This thesis aims to show references to Shintoism present in selected animations by Studio Ghibli, as well as their explication and sources. Firstly, the origins and the principal concepts of Shintoism are discussed, together with the significant elements of Japanese mythology. The next part concerns the founders and work of Studio Ghibli. The major part of this work is the analysis of selected Studio Ghibli animations – My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke in relation to the discussed Shintō elements.
