The role of IT systems in financial reporting.

Tematyką pracy jest rola systemów informatycznych w sprawozdawczości finansowej na przykładzie programu Comarch ERP Optima. Badane są funkcjonalności programu Comarch Optima oraz jego pomoc przy tworzeniu sprawozdań finansowych. Celem pracy jest ukazanie jak wykorzystanie systemów informatycznych wpływa na podstawowe i rutynowe czynności, które są wykonywane w prowadzeniu sprawozdawczości finansowej m.in przyspieszenie procesu wystawiania faktur oraz możliwość szybkiego przekazywania danych do urzędów. Szczegółowo omówionezostały systemy informacyjne w rachunkowości oraz zasady i znaczenie sprawozdań finansowych. Do przeprowadzenia badań dane zostały pozyskane z ankiet dotyczących wykorzystania systemów informacyjnych w sprawozdawczości na przykładzie programu Comarch Optima. Pytania dotyczą obsługi programu oraz jego przystosowania do tworzenia sprawozdań finansowych. Z wyników badań można stwierdzić, że z jednej strony program jest bardzo dobrze przygotowany do funkcjonowania. Z drugiej strony respondenci dostrzegają wady, które im utrudniają pracę w programie. Wnioskami wysuniętymi z odpowiedzi, powinny zostać wprowadzone zmiany do programu Comarch ERP Optima dotyczące automatycznej aktualizacji, czy wprowadzenia trybu nocnego. Wyniki badań dotyczą programu Comarch Optima i nie można ich uogólnić z innymi programami.

The subject of the work is the role of IT systems in financial reporting on the example of the Comarch ERP Optima programme. Comarch Optima's functionality and assistance in creating financial statements are being investigated. The aim of the work is to show how the use of information systems affects the basic and routine activities that are carried out in conducting financial reporting for example speeding up the process of issuing invoices and the ability to quickly transfer data to the offices. Discussed in detail information systems in accounting and the principles and importance of the Financial. For the study, data was obtained from surveys on the use of information systems in reporting on the example of the Comarch Optima programme. Questions concern the operation of the programme and its adaptation to the preparation of financial statements. From the results of the research it can be concluded that on the one hand the program is very well prepared for operation. On the other hand, the respondents see disadvantages that make it difficult for them to work in the program. The conclusions drawn from the responses should introduce changes to the Comarch ERP Optima program regarding automatic update or the introduction of the night mode. The research results concern the Comarch Optima program and cannot be generalized with other programs.
