The phonetic exponents of the dialectal stylization of "A History of Philosophy in Góral" of Józef Tischner

The article presents the linguistic features of Historia filozofii po góralsku (A History of Philosophy in Góral) of Józef Tischner. The stories have a generalized, literary spelling, nonetheless the text records many language elements of the Podhale dialect, which the author was an active user. Basing on written language, an analysis shows the phonetic layer of the dialect contained in the text. The author records some features of the dialectal system consistently, others - only partially. An analysis also points out the linguistic nature of the stories. It has been assumed that the text cannot be considered as a transcription, especially a phonetic transcription, a translation or a transformation into the dialect of the inhabitants of Podhale region. The dialect, as a variety of the spoken language, can be expressed in a written form, although it affects the structure of the text.
