Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie wpływu pandemii koronawirusa na rynek inwestycji alternatywnych. COVID-19 dotknął wiele sektorów gospodarki na całym świecie, w tym sektor finansowy. Mimo niestabilnej sytuacji wielu inwestorów zainteresowało się inwestycjami alternatywnymi, w tym dziełami sztuki co miało wydźwięk w rekordowych cenach aukcyjnych. Rosnąca niepewność na rynkach, związana z pandemią COVID-19 skłania inwestorów do dywersyfikacji swoich portfeli poprzez inwestowanie w instrumenty alternatywne. The aim of the study is to show the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the market for alternative investments. COVID-19 has affected many sectors of the economy around the world, including the financial sector. Despite the unstable situation, many investors became interested in alternative investments, including works of art, which was reflected in the record-breaking auction prices. The growing uncertainty in the markets related to the COVID-19 pandemic is prompting investors to diversify their portfolios by investing in alternative instruments. According to Global Index of Works of Art., the cultural sector is atractive to many investors. It can therefore be concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic had a positive impact on the development of both the polish and the global art market.
