Antroponimia of the parish of Saint Joseph in Wydrzy near Tarnobrzeg (names and surnames)

Praca magisterska „Antroponimia parafii pod wezwaniem Świętego Józefa w Wydrzy k. Tarnobrzega (imiona i nazwiska) dotyczy imion i nazwisk mieszkańców wsi Krawce i Wydrza. Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie zmian w systemie nazewniczym na przestrzeni lat 1947 – 2021. Praca ma charakter dwudzielny (omówione zostały imiona i nazwiska). Składa się z jedenastu rozdziałów. W rozdziale pierwszym podjęto się omówienia kwestii teoretycznych związanych z onomastyką. W drugim rozdziale zaprezentowano przedmiot, cel i zakres badań. W trzecim dokonano omówienia najważniejszych różnic pomiędzy nazwą własną a wyrazem pospolitym. Czwarty rozdział poświęcono rysowi historyczno-geograficznemu miejscowości Wydrza i Krawce. W dalszej części pracy omówione zostały kwestie teoretyczne dotyczące imion, zarysowano proces kształtowania się imion w Polsce. Kolejny rozdział to słownik imion, w którym podjęto się próby wyjaśnienia znaczeń imion mieszkańców wsi. Kolejno zaprezentowano analizę zebranego zasobu imion. W analizie szczególnie uwzględniono frekwencje imion, zbadano również najczęstsze motywy nadawania imion. Rozdział dziewiąty został poświęcony kwestią teoretycznym związanym z nazwiskami. Następnie w kolejnym rozdziale przedstawiono słownik nazwisk, w którym to podjęto się wyjaśnienia znaczeń nazwisk mieszkańców parafii w Wydrzy. W ostatnim rozdziale dokonano analizy nazwisk.

Master's thesis "Antroponimia of the parish of Saint Joseph in Wydrzy near Tarnobrzeg (names and surnames) concerns the names and surnames of the inhabitants of the villages of Krawce and Wydrza. The aim of this work is to show the changes in the naming system in the years 1947 - 2021. The work has a bipartite character (names and surnames are discussed). It consists of eleven chapters. The first chapter discusses theoretical issues related to onomastics. The second chapter presents the subject, purpose and scope of the research. The third discusses the most important differences between a proper name and a common word. The fourth chapter is devoted to the historical and geographical features of Wydrza and Krawce. Later in the thesis, theoretical issues concerning names are discussed, and the process of formation of names in Poland is outlined. The next chapter is a dictionary of names in which attempts were made to explain the meanings of the names of the villagers. Next, an analysis of the collected name stock is presented. In the analysis, the frequency of names was particularly taken into account, and the most common motives for giving names were also examined. The ninth chapter is devoted to the theoretical issue of surnames. Then, in the next chapter, a dictionary of surnames is presented, in which an attempt was made to explain the meanings of the surnames of the inhabitants of the parish in Wydrza. In the last chapter, the surnames are analyzed.
