Artistic imaginaries of The burning giraffe : Dalí - Grochowiak - Pinińska-Bereś

Artykuł stanowi wieloaspektowe i interdyscyplinarne spojrzenie na kwestię czytania obrazu malarskiego i poetyckiego oraz rzeźby. Płonąca żyrafa (1937) Salvadora Dalego posłużyła w nim jako punkt wyjścia. Obraz został zestawiony z wierszem Stanisława Grochowiaka Płonąca żyrafa (1958) i poszerzony o kontekst współczesnego kobiecego rzeźbiarstwa i sztuki performance’u (Płonąca żyrafa [1989] Marii Pinińskiej-Bereś). Zostały w nim uruchomione rozmaite nawiązania i odniesienia krytyczne, ale przede wszystkim oświetlone kanonicznymi już tezami Sigmunda Freuda dotyczącymi pisarza i fantazjowania. Refleksje podjęte w obrębie artykułu są wynikiem działań zainicjowanych podczas zajęć interpretatorskich ze studentami polonistyki. Mogą one stanowić inspirację do budowania kompetencji przyszłych nauczycieli, to znaczy poszerzenia ich warsztatu o samokształcenie, autorefleksję i samoidentyfikację interpretatora względem tekstów kultury.

The article is a multi-faceted and an interdisciplinary view on the issue of reading a painting, a poem and a sculpture. The Burning Giraffe (1937) by Salvador Dalí is the starting point of the article. The painting was juxtaposed with a poem by Stanisław Grochowiak The Burning Giraffe (1958) and placed in the extended context of contemporary female sculpture and performance art (The Burning Giraffe [1989] by Maria Pinińska-Bereś). Various cultural and critical references were presented in the article, which were above all illuminated by Sigmund Freud’s canonical thesis concerning the writer and the fantasizing. The reflections undertaken in the article are the result of activities initiated during interpretation classes for the students of Polish philology. They can be an inspiration for building up competences of the future teachers, that is, for expanding their skills in self-education, self-reflection and self-identification of the interpreter in relation to cultural texts.
