Counteracting domestic violence on the example of the municipality of Radom

Przemoc w rodzinie, określana równie często jako przemoc domowa, w dzisiejszych czasach niewątpliwie stanowi jeden z najpoważniejszych problemów społecznych. Celem pracy jest przedstawienie specyfiki zjawiska przemocy w rodzinie, scharakteryzowanie procedury „Niebieskie Karty” – stanowiącej podstawowe narzędzie w walce z przemocą domową oraz przedstawienie problemu przemocy w rodzinie na terenie miasta Radomia i działalności podmiotów, które jej przeciwdziałają. W pierwszym rozdziale przedstawiona została charakterystyka zjawiska przemocy w rodzinie. Przytoczono różne ujęcia definicyjne przemocy domowej, wskazano jej formy oraz opisano profile ofiar i sprawców. W rozdziale drugim skoncentrowano się na omówieniu procedury „Niebieskie Karty” oraz zadań podmiotów, które ją realizują. Ostatni rozdział pracy poświęcono działalności instytucji w zakresie przeciwdziałania przemocy w rodzinie na terenie Radomia, z uwzględnieniem roli Komendy Miejskiej Policji i Zespołu Interdyscyplinarnego.

Family violence, also often referred to as domestic violence, nowadays it’s one of the most serious social problems. The aim of this thesis is to present the specificity of the phenomenon of domestic violence, to characterise the "Blue Cards" procedure which is a basic tool in the fight against family violence and to present the problem of domestic violence in the city of Radom and the activities of entities that counteract it. The first chapter presents the characteristics of the domestic violence phenomenon. Various definitions of domestic violence have been provided, its forms have been indicated and profiles of victims and perpetrators have been described. Chapter two focuses on the discussion of the Blue Card procedure and the tasks of the entities that perform it. The last chapter of the dissertation has been devoted to the activities of the institutions in preventing domestic violence in the Radom area, taking into account the role of the Radom Police Station and Interdisciplinary Team.
