Praca traktuje o rodzajach obłędu, które wyróżnia Ludwik Sztyrmer w dwóch dziełach z cyklu „Powieści nieboszczyka Pantofla”: „Frenofagiusz i Frenolesty” oraz „Czarne oczy”. Poruszanym problemem jest także pytanie o cel, któremu ma służyć szaleństwo. Pierwszy rozdział zawiera w sobie opis czynników, które wpłynęły na twórczość Sztyrmera. Natomiast kolejny rozdział jest już analizą przypadków bohaterów. W pracy zostały też omówione elementy wspólne dla światów przedstawionych w opowiadaniach.
The thesis deals with the different madness types which are highlighted by Ludwik Sztyrmer in his titles from the Mr Pantofel’s cycle: „Phrenophagos and Phrenolestes” and „Black eyes”. The discussed problem is also a question of madness’ goal. The first chapter includes a description of factors which influenced Sztyrmer in his works. Whereas, the second chapter deals with the cases of characters and their analysis. In the dissertation, the common elements of the depicted worlds in the stories have been described.
