Who rules the world? Alternative visions of global order and conspiracy thinking in international relations

Teorie konspiracyjne są obecne na świecie od starożytności. Wizja globalnego rządu w postaci ugrupowań istniejących w ramach wizji The New World Order, takich jak Zakon Templariuszy, Masoneria, Illuminati czy Reptilianie, które z biegiem czasu zyskiwały na popularności ukazuje alternatywne spojrzenie na świat stosunków międzynarodowych. Praca ta ma za zadanie opisanie teorii konspiracyjnych, ze zwróceniem uwagi na obecność w nich Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki. W tekście poruszona zostanie również kwestia teorii spiskowych, które pojawiły się w 2016 i 2017 roku w Stanach Zjednoczonych Ameryki, dotyczących konspiracji wobec Partii Demokratycznej i jej przedstawicieli - konceptów PizzaGate i QAnon. Kraj ten zajmuje pozycję supermocarstwa i lidera w skali światowej, dlatego wszelkie zmiany w jego rządzie bezpośrednio rzutują na świat relacji międzynarodowych. Dodatkowo w pracy przybliżony zostanie profil osoby, która jest bardziej skłonna do tworzenia spisków i wiary w nie oraz wpływ pandemii choroby COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) na wzrost zainteresowania teoriami konspiracyjnymi. Poruszona zostanie również kwestia powiązanych z wirusem spisków, które powstały po jego pojawieniu się na świecie.

Conspiracy theories have been around since ancient times. The vision of a global government in the form of the groups that exist within the vision of The New World Order, such as the Order of Knights Templar, Freemasonry, Illuminati, and Reptilians, which have grown in popularity over time shows an alternative view of the world of international relations. This thesis seeks to describe conspiracy theories, with attention to the presence of the United States of America in them. The text will also address the conspiracy theories that emerged in 2016 and 2017 in the United States of America regarding conspiracies against the Democratic Party and its representatives - the PizzaGate and QAnon concepts. The country occupies the position of superpower and leader on a global scale, so any changes in its government directly affect the world of international relations. Additionally, the paper will examine the profile of a person who is more likely to create conspiracies and believe in them, and the impact of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) disease pandemic on the increased interest in conspiracy theories. The issue of virus-related conspiracies that have arisen in the wake of the virus will also be addressed in this thesis.
