Occurence of chosen endemits in the Carpathians

Endemity czyli organizmy ograniczone w swym występowaniu jedynie dla danego obszaru są ważną grupą roślin zarówno pod względem bioróżnorodności jak i poznania historii flory danego regionu. W pracy wytypowano taksony endemiczne występujące na terenie polskich Karpat. Dokonano analiz pod względem przynależności taksonomicznej, typów zasięgowych, pochodzenia, kategorii zagrożenia i formy ochrony. Ustalono miejsca ich występowania oraz określono w jaki sposób wybrane czynniki środowiskowe wpływają na ich rozmieszczenie. Pod uwagę wzięto charakterystykę Karpat, wysokość nad poziomem morza wraz ze zmieniającymi się z nią piętrami klimatyczno-roślinnymi oraz typy siedlisk. Wyniki przedstawiono w formie wykresów, tabel oraz map przedstawiających rozmieszczenie rozważanych w pracy endemitów.Analiza zebranych danych wykazała największe skupienie roślin endemicznych dla obszaru Tatr, a w szczególności dla piętra halnego (alpejskiego). Siedliskami najbardziej sprzyjającymi ich występowaniu okazały się siedliska skalne oraz murawy.

Endemics, organisms limited in their occurrence only for a given area, are an important group of plants both in terms of biodiversity and knowledge of the history of the flora of a given region.The study selected endemic taxa occurring in the Polish Carpathians. Analyzes were carried out in terms of taxonomic affiliation, types of range, origin, risk category and form of protection. The places of their occurrence and the influence of selected environmental factors on their distribution were determined. The characteristics of the Carpathians, the altitude above sea level and the changing level of climate and vegetation, as well as habitat types were taken into account. The results are presented in the form of graphs, tables and maps showing the distribution of endemic species included in the study.The analysis of the collected data showed the highest concentration of endemic plants for the Tatra Mountains, in particular for the mountain (alpine) layer. Rock habitats and grasslands turned out to be the most favorable habitats for their occurrence.
