Tematem niniejszej pracy jest „Etykieta dyplomatyczna i symbole protokołu dyplomatycznego w Unii Europejskiej”. Etykieta i protokół dyplomatyczne są szczególnymi zjawiskami kulturowymi, które formowały się przez wiele stuleci. Etykieta zaczęła istnieć z tradycji dworskich i przeniosła się także na relacje dyplomatyczne wysyłanych w inne jednostki państwowe poselstw. Protokół jako spis zasad postępowania dyplomatycznych pojawił się później dopiero w XIX wieku. Włącza on także zasady używania symboli państwowych w relacjach dyplomatycznych. Obecnie dyplomacja nie patrząc na istniejący protokół dąży do uniformalności – coraz bardziej popularną staje się dyplomacja „bez krawatów”.Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym rozdziale został przedstawiony rys historyczno-kulturowy tytułowych zagadnień. Zostało rozpatrzone pojęcie symbolu i jego znaczenia w kulturze. Opisano pojęcie i historia Unii Europejskiej. Następnie etykieta w jej znaczeniu rozwoju kulturowego w Europie i pojawienie się etykiety dyplomatycznej. Na końcu tego rozdziału została opisana historia dyplomacji i protokołu dyplomatycznego w Unii Europejskiej.Drugi rozdział pracy jest poświęcony etykiecie dyplomatycznej i jej zasadom w krajach Unii Europejskiej. Zaczyna się on od opisu historii i rozwoju etykiety dyplomatycznej w Europie. Etykieta jest przede wszystkim dorobkiem cywilizacji europejskiej i zaczęła się rozwijać przy dworach monarszych. Dlatego został rozpatrzony rozwój etykiety na całym kontynencie europejskim. Następnie opisano zjawisko etykiety dyplomatycznej w Unii Europejskiej, które rozwinęło się na postawie europejskich tradycji kulturowych. Etykieta dyplomatyczna jako dorobek cywilizacji europejskiej stała się znaczącym zjawiskiem kulturowym, pewną wizytówką tradycji europejskich. Ma bogatą historię, symbole i zasady. Wpłynęła na stosunki dyplomatyczne nie tylko Europy, ale i całego świata.Ostatni rozdział poświęcony jest symbolom w protokole dyplomatycznym. Opisano w nim pojęcie protokołu i zasady protokołu dyplomatycznego w Unii Europejskiej. Protokół dyplomatyczny ma podstawy w europejskich tradycjach etykiety dyplomatycznej. Pierwszy protokół dyplomatyczny pojawił się po Kongresie Wiedeńskim, gdzie niezbędnym było wprowadzenie reguł i precedencji pomiędzy przedstawicielami różnych państw. Obecnie stosunki dyplomatyczne reguluje Konwencja Wiedeńska o stosunkach dyplomatycznych z 1961 roku oraz Konwencja Wiedeńska o stosunkach konsularnych z 1963 roku. Wymienione zostały symbole używane w protokole dyplomatycznym i symbole Unii Europejskiej w dyplomacji.Symbole mają zasadnicze znaczenie w dyplomacji. Wiele zasad etykiety protokołu dyplomatycznego jest pewnymi symbolami, które posiadają znaczenia kulturowe, czy są gestem wyrazu poszanowania do innej jednostki. Tradycje respektowania symboli państwowych, takich jak herb, flaga, hymn są jednymi z najważniejszych składników protokołu dyplomatycznego. Symbole Unii Europejskiej mają niezwykle istotne znaczenie kulturowe i duchowe przez co są tak ważne również w światowych tradycjach dyplomatycznych.

The subject of this work is "Diplomatic etiquette and symbols of the diplomatic protocol in the European Union". Etiquette and diplomatic protocol are special cultural phenomena that have been forming for many centuries. Etiquette began its existence with court traditions and moved to diplomatic relations sent to other state units. The protocol, as a list of rules of diplomatic conduct, did not appear until the 19th century. It also includes rules for the use of state symbols in diplomatic relations. Currently, diplomacy, without looking at the existing protocol, strives for uniformity - "without neckties" is becoming more and more popular.This work consists of three chapters. The first chapter presents the historical and cultural outline of the title issues. The concept of symbolology and its importance in culture was considered. The subject and history of the European Union are described. Then, the importance of the etiquette of cultural development in Europe and the emergence of a diplomatic etiquette will be discussed. The history of diplomacy and the diplomatic protocol of the European Union is described at the end of this chapter.The second chapter of the work is devoted to diplomatic etiquette and its principles in European Union countries. It begins with a description of the history and development of a diplomatic label in Europe. Etiquette is, above all, the achievement of the European civilization and began to develop in the royal courts. Therefore, the development of the label across the entire European continent has been considered. Then, the phenomenon of diplomatic etiquette in the European Union was described, which was developed on the basis of European cultural traditions. The following are examples of non-compliance with label rules and the diplomatic protocol. The so-called. "Diplomatic blunder" occurs regularly in a diplomatic and political environment. They are the results of unknown protocol, dispersion, lack of discretion, and sometimes a deliberate violation of rules; which can be seen as a political gesture. On the other hand, there are situations where abandoning the rules of protocol serves positive purposes; for example, as with closer representatives of different countries. At the end of the chapter, the importance of diplomatic etiquette in European culture and policy was considered. Diplomatic etiquette as an achievement of European civilization has become a significant cultural phenomenon, a sure showcase of European traditions. It has a rich history which may be viewed in its symbols and rules. It influenced diplomatic relations not only in Europe, but also in the whole world.The last chapter is devoted to those symbols found in the diplomatic protocol. It describes the concept of protocol and the principles of diplomatic protocol in the European Union. The diplomatic protocol has its foundations in the European traditions of diplomatic etiquette. The first diplomatic protocol appeared after the Congress of Vienna, where it was necessary to introduce rules and precedence between representatives of different countries. Currently, diplomatic relations are governed by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963. The symbols used in the diplomatic protocol and the symbols of the European Union in diplomacy are listed.Symbols are essential in diplomacy.
