Praca stanowi analizę porównawczą tekstów Wściekłość i Duma Oriany Fallaci i Dlaczego zginął Karl von Spreti Ryszarda Kapuścińskiego. Utwory zostają zestawione z użyciem metody komparatystycznej pod względem zawartych w nich opisów przemocy i niesprawiedliwości. Pierwszy rozdział poświęcony jest charakterystyce reportażu jako gatunku literackiego a także jego historii. Następny zawiera biografie autorów oraz opis ich najważniejszych dzieł. Ostatnia część pracy skupia się na analizie utworów Wściekłość i Duma i Dlaczego umarł Karl von Spreti. Teksty zostają porównane pod kątem okoliczności w jakich powstawały, stylu, którym posługują się autorzy, a także zajmowanego przez nich stanowiska wobec opisywanych wydarzeń. Celem pracy jest ukazanie różnic i podobieństw nie tylko pomiędzy omawianymi tekstami, ale także pomiędzy autorami. Oriana Fallaci i Ryszard Kapuściński pomimo zupełnie odmiennych wizji swojego zawodu, obydwoje byli zaangażowanymi społecznie twórcami i sprzeciwiali się nietolerowanym przez siebie zjawiskom, czego przejawem jest ich twórczość literacka.

The thesis is a comparative analysis of the texts The Rage and the Pride by Oriana Fallaci and Why Karl von Spreti Died by Ryszard Kapuściński. The works are analysed with the usage of a comparative method in terms of the descriptions of violence and injustice they contain. The first chapter is dedicated to the characteristics of reportage as a literary genre and to its history. The next one includes the biographies of the authors and a description of their most significant works. The last part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of The Rage and the Pride and Why Karl von Spreti Died. The texts are compared in terms of the circumstances in which they were written, the style used by the authors, and their reactions to the described events. The aim of the thesis is to point out the differences and similarities not only between the texts but also between the authors. Oriana Fallaci and Ryszard Kapuściński, despite entirely different visions of their profession, were both socially engaged authors and were opposed to the phenomena they found unacceptable, which is visible in their literary works.

La tesi propone un’analisi comparativa dei testi La Rabbia e L’Orgoglio di Oriana Fallaci e Perché e morto Karl von Spreti di Ryszard Kapuściński. Le opere vengono analizzate con l’uso del metodo comparativo in termini delle descrizioni di violenza e ingiustizia. Il primo capitolo è dedicato alle caratteristiche del reportage come genere letterario e alla sua storia. Il successivo contiene le biografie degli autori e una descrizione delle loro opere più importanti. L’ultima parte della tesi si concentra sull’analisi delle opere La Rabbia e L’Orgoglio e Perché è morto Karl von Spreti. I testi vengono confrontati in base alle circostanze in cui sono stati scritti, allo stile adoperato dagli autori e alla loro posizione nei confronti degli eventi descritti. L’obiettivo della tesi è quello di mostrare le differenze e le somiglianze non solo tra i testi discussi, ma anche tra gli autori. Oriana Fallaci e Ryszard Kapuściński, nonostante visioni completamente diverse della loro professione, erano entrambi autori socialmente impegnati e si opponevano ai fenomeni che non tolleravano, il che si riflette nella loro produzione letteraria.
