The influence of Japanese soft power on the pop culture of the United States of America country in North America (USA)

Celem niniejszej pracy jest ukazanie w jakim stopniu popkultura Japonii wywarła wpływ na kulturę popularną Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki Północnej. W poszczególnych rozdziałach zobrazowano pojęcie jakim jest soft power, a także przedstawiono jego instrumenty oraz zasoby. Opisano elementy japońskiej tzw. „miękkiej siły”, które ciągle zyskują na popularności poza granicami swojego kraju. Szczególnie wyróżnione zostały najbardziej znane oraz rozsławione na całym świecie manga oraz anime. W pracy przede wszystkim skupiono się na relacjach pomiędzy państwami oraz efektach wpływów soft power Cesarstwa Japonii na popkulturę Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki Północnej. W pracy została wykorzystana literatura zarówno polsko jak i obcojęzyczna. Wiele przydatnych informacji związanych z tematem udało się uzyskać dzięki licznym książkom, artykułom, a także stronom internetowym, za pomocą których bliżej można było zapoznać się z elementami „miękkiej siły” Japonii.

The purpose of this work is to show what extent Japanese pop culture influenced the popular culture of the United States of America. In individual chapters the concept of soft power is illustrated, as well as its instruments and resources. The elements of the Japanese soft power, which are still gaining popularity outside their country was described. The most famous manga and anime were especially honored. The work focuses primarily on the relations between states and the effects of the soft power influence of the Empire of Japan on the pop culture of the United States of America. Both Polish and foreign-language literature was used in the work. A lot of useful information related to the subject was also obtained thanks to numerous books, articles and websites, through which one could learn more about the elements of soft power of Japan.
