Distinction between narrative and descriptive topic unfolding on the example of lexical entry and fairy tale "The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats" by Brothers Grimm

Praca koncentruje się na tematycznym rozwinięciu tekstu, a konkretniej na narracyjnym i deskryptywnym rozwinięciu tematycznym. Jej głównym celem jest wskazanie cech charakterystycznych dla obu rozwinięć tematycznych, a także podobieństw i różnic między nimi. Praca została podzielona na dwa rozdziały. Pierwszy z nich obejmuje rozważania ogólne nad pojęciem tekstu, typami tekstów, a także strukturą tematyczną tekstu czy tematyczną progresją. W pierwszym rozdziale wprowadzone zostaje także pojęcie kluczowe dla pracy, mianowicie tematyczne rozwinięcie tekstu oraz terminy z nim związane, tj. ponowne podjęcie tematu w sposób implicytny i eksplicytny. Drugi rozdział skupia się na narracyjnym i deskryptywnym rozwinięciu tematycznym, co stanowi przedmiot pracy. Podjęte zostały w nim próby zdefiniowania obu rozwinięć tematycznych, wskazania podobieństw i różnic między nimi oraz opisanie cech głównych opowiadania jako przedstawiciela grupy tekstów narracyjnych oraz artykułu hasłowego z leksykonu jako reprezentanta deskryptywnego rozwinięcia tekstu. Na podstawie przytoczonej teorii przeprowadzona została analiza dwóch tekstów. Tekst narracyjny pochodzi ze zbioru baśni Braci Grimm, natomiast tekst deskryptywny z uniwersalnego leksykonu. Teksty zostały wyselekcjonowane w taki sposób, aby możliwie przejrzyście przedstawić cechy charakterystyczne dla obu rozwinięć tematycznych, co w następstwie umożliwiłoby odbiorcy pracy bezproblemowe rozróżnianie między tekstami narracyjnymi a deskryptywnymi.

The thesis discusses a phenomenon of topic unfolding, in particular the narrative and descriptive topic unfoldings. Its main purpose is to show the characteristics of the two topic unfoldings and the similarities and differences between them. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part begins with the definition of text, type of text, thematic text structure and thematic progression. The first section also introduces a key concept for the thesis, namely the topic unfolding and related concepts, i. e. the implicit and explicit resumption. The second part discusses in detail the narrative and descriptive topic unfolding. It is made an attempt to define the two topic unfoldings, to point out the similarities and differences between them, and to describe the main characteristics of the narrative topic unfolding as representative of the group of narrative texts and the lexical entry as representative of a descriptive topic unfolding. The texts in the empirical part were analyzed on the basis of the theory presented in the theoretical part. The narrative text comes from the fairy tale collection of Brothers Grimm and the descriptive text comes from the Universal Lexicon. The texts were selected in such a way that the characteristic features of the two topic unfoldings are presented as clearly as possible, so that the recipient can easily distinguish between narrative and descriptive texts.

Die Arbeit befasst sich mit dem Begriff der Themenentfaltung, insbesondere mit der narrativen und deskriptiven Themenentfaltung. Ihr Hauptziel besteht darin, die Merkmale der beiden thematischen Themenentfaltungen sowie die Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen ihnen aufzuzeigen. Die Arbeit besteht aus zwei Abschnitten. Der erste betrifft die theoretischen Grundlagen des Begriffs Text, Textsorte, thematische Textstruktur und thematische Progression. Im ersten Abschnitt wird auch ein Schlüsselbegriff für die Arbeit eingeführt, nämlich die Themenentfaltung und die damit verbundenen Begriffe, d. h. die implizite und explizite Wiederaufnahme. Im zweiten Abschnitt wird detailliert auf die narrative und deskriptive Themenentfaltung eingegangen. Es wird versucht, die beiden Themenentfaltungen zu definieren, Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen ihnen aufzuzeigen und die Hauptmerkmale der Erzählung als Vertreter der Gruppe der narrativen Texte und des Lexikonartikels aus dem Lexikon als Repräsentant einer deskriptiven Themenentfaltung des Textes zu beschreiben. Auf der Grundlage dieser Theorie wurden zwei Texte analysiert. Der Erzähltext kommt aus der Märchensammlung von Brüdern Grimm, der deskriptive Text aus dem Universallexikon. Die Texte wurden so ausgewählt, dass die charakteristischen Merkmale der beiden Themenentfaltungen so klar wie möglich dargestellt werden, so dass der Rezipient problemlos zwischen den narrativen und deskriptiven Texten unterscheiden kann.
