Niniejsza praca magisterska zatytułowana Stereotypy o Polakach, Niemcach i Austriakach w powieści Radka Knappa „Lekcje pana Kuki” oraz w ekranizacji powieści Dariusza Gajewskiego – próba analizy dotyczy przedstawienia i opisania stereotypów o Polakach, Niemcach i Austriakach w obu dziełach oraz ich porównania. Praca magisterska składa się ze wstępu, dwóch rozdziałów teoretycznych, dwóch rozdziałów praktycznych, wniosków oraz bibliografii. W pierwszym rozdziale zostało przedstawione pojęcie stereotypu – definicja, podział i typy. Zostały również opisane uprzedzenia i cliché. W drugim rozdziale teoretycznym przedstawiono stereotypy w literaturze i filmie. Część filmowa została dodatkowo podzielona na cztery podrozdziały, w których opisano, jak stereotypy wpływają na figury, fabułę, grę aktorską, obraz i ścieżkę dźwiękową oraz na gatunki i gatunki hybrydowe. Trzeci rozdział to rozdział praktyczny dotyczący stereotypów w powieści Radka Knappa „Lekcje pana Kuki”. Rozdział zawiera opisy postaci, którzy uosabiają poszczególne stereotypy o narodach oraz ogólny obraz krajów wspomnianych przez autora powieści, widoczny w wypowiedziach bohaterów lub opisach autora. Rozdział czwarty stanowi przedstawienie stereotypów w ekranizacji powieści według Dariusza Gajewskiego oraz porównanie ich z powieścią. We wnioskach przedstawiono ogólne i najważniejsze założenia z pracy magisterskiej oraz podsumowano konkluzje po analizie obu dzieł.

The following master’s thesis entitled Stereotypes about Poles, Germans and Austrians in the novel by Radek Knapp “Mr. Kuka’s advice” and its film version by Dariusz Gajewski – an attempt to analyse concerns the presentation and description of stereotypes about Poles, Germans, and Austrians and their comparison. The master’s thesis consists of the introduction, two theoretical chapters, two practical chapters, conclusions, and bibliography. In the first chapter the notion of stereotype is presented – its function, classification, and types. The prejudices and clichés are also described. The stereotypes in literature and film are presented in the second chapter. In addition, the film part is divided into four subchapters, in which it is depicted, how stereotypes affect characters, plot, acting, image, sound as well as genres and hybrid genres. The third chapter is a practical chapter concerning stereotypes in the novel by Radek Knapp “Mr. Kuka’s advice”. The chapter contains character descriptions, which embody particular national stereotypes and general image of the countries, reflected in the characters’ statements and the author’s comments. The fourth chapter discusses stereotypes in the film version by Dariusz Gajewski and compares them with the novel. In the conclusions, the most important assumptions are presented based on the analysis of the two works.

Die vorliegende Masterarbeit unter dem Titel Stereotype über Polen, Deutsche und Österreicher im Roman „Herrn Kukas Empfehlungen“ von Radek Knapp und in seiner Verfilmung von Dariusz Gajewski – Versuch einer Analyse betrifft die Darstellung, Beschreibung und Vergleich der Stereotype in beiden Werken. Die Masterarbeit besteht aus einer Einleitung, zwei theoretischen und zwei praktischen Kapiteln, Schlussfolgerungen und Literaturverzeichnis. Im ersten Kapitel wird der Begriff des Stereotyps dargestellt: seine Definition, Einteilung und Arten. Solche Begriffe wie Vorurteile und Klischees werden auch abgegrenzt und beschrieben. Im zweiten Kapitel werden Stereotype in Literatur und Film präsentiert. Zusätzlich wird der Filmsteil eingeteilt, wie Stereotype die Figuren, Handlung, Schauspiel, Bild, Tonspur, Genres und Hybridgenres beeinflussen. Der dritte Kapitel ist ein praktischer Kapitel, der Stereotype über Polen, Deutsche und Österreicher betrifft. Der Kapitel enthält die Figurenbeschreibungen, die sie Stereotype über Nationen verkörpern und allgemeine Landbilder, die in den Figurenäußerungen oder Beschreibungen des Autors sichtbar sind. Der vierte Kapitel ist die Darstellung der Stereotype in der Verfilmung von Dariusz Gajewski und ihr Vergleich mit den Stereotypen im Roman. In den Schlussfolgerungen werden allgemeine Annahmen aus den einzelnen Kapiteln dargestellt und Schüsse aus den Analysen und Vergleich gezogen.
