Celem pracy jest ukazanie znaczenia ubezpieczeń dla rozwoju gospodarki. W części teoretycznej pracy wyjaśniono istotę oraz mechanizm funkcjonowania rynku ubezpieczeń komunikacyjnych. W części badawczej przeanalizowano potencjał rynku ubezpieczeń komunikacyjnych oraz powiązania z innymi sektorami gospodarki narodowej. Przeanalizowano tendencje zmiany wskaźnika penetracji mierzonego dla ubezpieczeń komunikacyjnych wielkością składki przypisanej brutto do PKB Polski. W oparciu o dane PIU i GUS za lata 2010-2019 potwierdzono wpływ ubezpieczeń komunikacyjnych na polską gospodarkę.
The aim of this study is to report the importance of insurance for the economic growth. The theoretical part of the work explains the essence and functioning mechanism of motor vehicle insurance market. The practical part analyzes the potential of the motor insurance market and its causality links with other sectors of the national economy. This study investigates trends of change of the penetration rate for motor vehicle insurance measured by the amount of gross premium due to the GDP of Poland. The results show the influence of motor insurance market on the Polish economy, based on PIU and GUS data for the years 2010-2019.
