Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza i porównanie dwóch powieści: Dopóki Mamy Twarze C.S. Lewisa oraz Gwałtownicy Porywają Królestwo Niebieskie autorstwa Flannery O’Connor w kontekście konceptów Junga, takich jak nieświadomość, cień oraz indywiduacja. Analiza dzieł w tymże kontekście pomaga w lepszym zrozumieniu ich wniosków i motywów. Esej ten prezentuje dwa różne podejścia powieści do koncepcji wiary i poszukiwania Boga oraz jak, mimo tych różnic obie poruszają podobne problemy oraz posługują się podobnymi metaforami i motywami widzianymi w kontekście wyżej wymienionych pojęć. W celu lepszego zrozumienia tychże kluczy, ta praca pokrótce opisuje prace Junga.

The aim of this paper is to analyze and compare two novels: Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis and The Violent Bear It Away by Flannery O’Connor in the context of Jungian concepts, such as the unconscious, the shadow, and individuation. Analyzing the novels in this context helps better understand their conclusions and themes. This dissertation presents the novels’ two different approaches to the theme of faith and the soul’s search for God, and how, despite these differences, they employ similar imagery and motifs, seen in the context of the beforementioned concepts. In doing so, it outlines Jung’s different works.
