German Trilogy of Rainer Werner Fassbinder - a subjective story on the big screen

W ramach pracy magisterskiej pod tytułem: „Trylogia niemiecka Rainera Wernera Fassbindera – subiektywna historia na wielkim ekranie‟ przeanalizowana została wybrana twórczość Rainera Wernera Fassbindera (trylogia „BRD‟) pod kątem realizowania kina społecznie zaangażowanego odnoszącego się do bieżącej sytuacji politycznej w kraju. Autor, w oparciu o szereg tekstów naukowych, próbuje przeanalizować tło historyczne właściwe dla czasów powstawania filmów, zestawić je z wybranymi wątkami z biografii Rainera Wernera Fassbindera oraz przedstawić, w jaki sposób problematyka wskazanych filmów może odnosić się do ówczesnej obyczajowości obywateli Niemiec.

As part of the master's thesis entitled: "German Trilogy of Rainer Werner Fassbinder - a subjective story on the big screen", selected works of Rainer Werner Fassbinder ("BRD" trilogy) were analyzed in terms of realizing socially engaged cinema relating to the current political situation in the country. Author, based on a number of scientific articles, tries to analyze the historical background relevant to the time of film making, collate it with selected themes from the biography of Rainer Werner Fassbinder and explain how the issues of the mentioned films may refer to the customs and morality of the Germans at that time.
