Abstract in English

This article shows an analysis of a method of presenting the period of Martial law in Poland in press narratives ("Trybuna", "Gazeta Wyborcza", "Nasz Dziennik" - issued exactly on 13th December in the years 1989-2019). This article introduces a hypothesis which claims that the analysed newspapers differ in interpretation of the legality of martial law and the lack of holding anyone responsible for the crimes commited in that period. The thesis was established using qualitative analysis. The conclusion of the thesis is built by using the comparative method which made it easier to compare the press narratives of the analysed newspapers.
