From the studies of prosopography of Rus’ elites in the 12th century : Izbygnev Ivachevych

The article is an attempt to create a short biography of Izbygnev Ivachevych, who represented political elites of the Principality of Halych. Sources attest to his activity between 1152 and 1158. We can presume that he was born in the mid-1120s at the latest in the Przemyśl land to Rus’-Polish parents. He started his political career in the court of Prince Volodymyrko Volodarovych back when the latter was still ruling over Przemyśl, and in the early 1150s he took up the post of voivode. After Volodymyrko’s death he served his son, Yaroslav Volodymyrkovych, and was in the closest circle of the Halych ruler. Sources mention him for the last time in 1158, when he acted as envoy to the Kyiv Prince Izyaslav Davidovich. He died not earlier than in late 1158.
