Mężczyzna wychodzi z założenia, że najlepiej nie angażować się w relacje z innymi ludźmi, nic nie posiadać, żyć chwilą w świecie gdzie najważniejsza jest praca i bycie w ciągłej metaforycznej podróży bez stałego miejsca na ziemi, zawsze z jedną małą walizką i precyzyjnym planem.

The article concerns the multiplicity of roles of individuals in postmodernity. Analyzing film by Jason Reitman ‘Up in the Air’ referring to the philosophy of empty backpack, which is the motto of the protagonist Ryan Bingham. A man comes from the assumption that it is best not to engage in relationships with other people, do not have to live the moment in a world where the most important thing is to work and being in constant metaphorical journey without a permanent place on the ground, always with one small suitcase and a precise plan.
