Background: The use of ionic radiation in roentgen diagnosis is very helpful in the process of determination and classification of a disease. However, every ionic radiation can cause negative health consequences. The roentgen diagnosis is the biggest unnatural source of radiation, which has negative influence on people's health. It constitutes 78% of all usage of ionic radiation in medicine. Material/Methods: In this study we checked the influence of technical environment of radiological tests on the values of X-ray radiation doses (per unit of surface) received by the patients. The influence of material and thickness of the filter used in the SIREGRAF machine under constant tension in X-ray lamp was defined. Afterwards we examined the correlation between the change of values of high tension in X-ray lamps and the reduction of ionization radiation dose (per unit of surface) received by the patients while using the same filter. Results: The first test allowed us to observe reduction of the ionisation radiation dose (per unit of surface) received by the patients up to 61%. The second test (for all filters) showed that the growing tension in X-ray lamp causes a decrease of ionization radiation dose even up to 23%. Conclusions: It is possible to significantly reduce the radiation dose received by the patients during the roentgen diagnostic examinations by using the rules described in the above work.pl
