Probing the SmRhSn magnetic state by AC/DC magnetic measurements and ^{119}Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy

dc.abstract.enBulk magnetic AC and DC susceptibility studies have been performed on a polycrystalline SmRhSn sample. The measurements revealed ferromagnetic ordering with a Curie temperature of T_{C} = 14.9(2) K. However, additional magnetic transitions have been found. The thermal variation of the hyperfine parameters has been studied in detail by ^{119}Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy. The distribution of magnetic hyperfine fields observed at the tin sites points to a rather complicated magnetic structure of probably non-collinear character but with the magnetic samarium moments arranged in directions close to the ab-basal plane.pl
