Wspólnota dyskursywna i wyobrażona w analizie dyskursów publicznych
The article is devoted to the discussion of the binary codes category proposed by Jeffrey Alexander in his theory of the discourse of civil society. The text consists of two parts. In the first one I outline this theory and derive from it two categories: the discourse community and the imagined community. The second part presents the proposal of the interpretation of the polarization process in the Polish public scene. I use the categories derived from Alexander's theory (apart from the codes, also the notion of the discourse community and the imagined community have been made use of) in the account of the mechanism which explains this process.
