Autorka umieszcza codzienną aktywność głównej bohaterki w szerokim kulturowym kontekście, odnosząc się do prac z obszaru antropologii, psychologii, religioznawstwa i socjologii. Odwołuje się do refleksji na temat społecznej roli kobiety jako gospodyni domowej, wagi codzienności w życiu człowieka oraz kulturowych i socjologicznych aspektów aktywności związanych z prowadzeniem domu. Najwięcej miejsca poświęcono opisowi działań bohaterki jako czynności rytualnych. Autorka dowodzi, że posiadają one najważniejsze cechy i funkcje rytuałów w znaczeniu religijnym i społecznym.

The text is an analysis of the movie Jeanne Dielman (1975) by Chantal Akerman. The author places everyday activity of the main character in a broad cultural context, referring to works in the field of anthropology, psychology, religious studies and sociology. She presents reflections about social role of women as housekeepers, importance of everyday in the human life also cultural and sociological aspects of activities connected with house keeping. However, the largest part of the text is devoted to the description of main character's actions as ritual activities. The author proves that they have the most important features and functions of rituals in religious and social meaning.
